Putting on a night invoving two different medias is a bit difficult. There is so much to take into account.
There was the odd technical difficulty last time which does interrupt with the flow of the night. The first night went without a hitch so it took me by surprise when a bright green screen glowed determinedly at us all. Still, now I know to check all the images on the projector the day before and not just an hour before.
You've got to laugh.
And drink.
But not too much.
Another thing to remember...

We have issues with LCD's at work all the time (if that's what it was) Always good to get the venue to test their equipment before you arrive & then make sure that's the first thing you attend to when you get there - sounds like it's all going really well though; i'll show up one day! x
Well technology was crashing all day at work - blame the full moon! Though stressful for you, it didn't stop the audience and readers having a really good night.
It was a terrific event, Jo. No worries. The readings, the photos... all special. (Mine the specialest because I wrote it)... great atmosphere, lovely pub downstairs. You've created a good thing.
Me and my friends all had a great time on Tuesday (some of them didn't leave until long after midnight!) Putting on a night is a lot of work but Sparks works well. I'm looking forward to January's event.
